Apartment 4H // Online Comic Strip
Next Project >
A true labor of love, Apartment 4H is a humorous comic strip created by myself and David Rhodenbaugh, who handles the wordplay. The strip tells the story of a dysfunctional quartet of horsemen stuck in a world not yet ready for doomsday, and their human landlord / chum / scapegoat, Ted.

Originally published in the University of Virginia’s student paper the Cavalier Daily, Apartment 4H is now updated (sporadically) online at 4hcomic.com and is featured in Carnegie Mellon’s Tartan as well as the Syracuse University Daily Orange. Over the strip’s four-year run, Dave and I have attended several independent comic conventions and self-published two print collections.

Daily Strips

Though the comic mainly focuses on the misadventures of the titular horsemen, 4H strips are often inspired by daily events, pop culture or historical events.

GO TIME Cover

Our second self-published print collection, Go Time collected a single epic narrative rather than our usual gag-a-day strips.

Indy Comicons

Or "Independent Comic Conventions," to the uninitiated. Taking the comic on the road and meeting other artists has been one of the most rewarding parts of 4H.
